Hayes Recycling is leading the way in tackling the complex challenge of recycling Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF).
Based in Western Australia, our facility is the world’s first purpose-built, high-throughput SURF recycling operation.
Our semi-automated plant has been specifically engineered to process all SURF configurations, including umbilicals, risers, and flowline.
The process minimises manual handling, maximises the recovery of valuable metals and polymers, and delivers a safe, sustainable solution tailored to the oil and gas sector.
With recovery rates of over 95%, our process significantly reduces landfill volumes and environmental impact. The recovered materials are then reintegrated directly into manufacturing supply chains, supporting a circular economy and reducing reliance on virgin resources.
